Recently I have been giving more thought to what true reformation looks like in the practical arenas of life; because I don’t want the necessary emphasis on revival and reformation to become a catch phrase for me personally. Nor do I want that to be the case for my denomination.

As I reflect on Micah 6:8, I ponder to what degree, if any, is there a biblical connection between justice and fairness. God was not merely speaking to isolated individuals through Micah. He was speaking to a group (6:2,4,5). He was speaking to His church on a corporate level.

To what degree does reformation exemplify itself as it relates to fairness in our policies? To hiring practices? To how we see and relate to one another? To how we have one standard of treatment for some, and a different standard for others? Might it be that others can ascertain the true degree of my revival, our revival, if they can see the degree that we have truly been reformed through both our corporate behavior as well as our personal behavior?
