We are all aware of the fact that atheism is on the rise and a tide of anti-theism is washing across the land.  However, you may be surprised to learn about a new social phenomenon--Sunday Assembly.  It's the perfect option for those who would like a church without God.

The first Sunday Assembly was founded in 2013 in London.  According to their charter, they are "a godless congregation that celebrates life." 1 Their vision is simple: "a godless congregation in every city, town, and village that wants one."2 Their message: "We are born from nothing and go to nothing.  Let's enjoy it together."3 Sunday Assemblies are springing up in cities from coast to coast.

Why are people attracted to the Sunday Assembly?  "I think it's because we're tired of getting told what to believe," says Andy Coleman who helps to lead the Seattle Sunday Assembly.4

It’s easy to criticize the emptiness of such a worldview but how can Christians respond in a constructive and meaningful way?  The answer to that question is up to us.  We’d like to hear from you.
